Definition of Interface Schedule
An Interface Schedule is a list of itemised actions (for approval), with deadlines – linked to the project control schedule.
In 'Distributed' projects it is used mainly by project controllers - and related more to project milestones than to engineering or technical interfaces.
In 'Large Plant' projects it is more actively used - related to Interface Points.
The two types of project are described in this article.
It is often a list of actions (interface issues) but it is not a complete interface register.
It may only include major issues – in date order – and possibly only those related to milestones.
Interface Schedule is sometimes confused with interface register.
